About the Artist
Ashley paints large acrylic paintings of nature and home and tiny paintings of people.
Each artwork elicits ‘home’ and pieces of where she’s found it around the world. This theme sneaks up in her usage of color, storied characters, patterns, expressive florals, movement, and vibrant landscapes.
In her work, she uses significant textural layers to translate the feeling of home through touch and feeling.

When I picked up my first paintbrush, I was five years old. Ever since then, it’s been a language and a frame through which I understand the world of relationships, culture, place-making and travel.
